I grew up in a suburb of Buffalo, Kenmore. Excellent schools back in the 1960-70's. New York state has a reputation of spending more on schools and having a top notch education system. So I was surprised about the negative comment about education. If you think Buffalo's schools are bad, come to North Carolina or Florida where the book burning and banning has school library shelves barren.

It doesn't make sense to me either, but Ohio is classified as the midwest on every map of US regions that I've seen.

Hello i currently living in Corpus Christi and there is nothing wrong about it Corpus is a nice play of course it has some flaws but still it is a nice place i have been living here for all thirteen years of my life and its been amazing you can meet so many nice people here that it just makes you happy in Corpus most of are colors and purple and gold because of Roy Miller high school they are the buc and they dont have funds to get better things but when the community hears about it they come together and they help them. I dont care what other people think about it Corpus is a nice city one phrase there is that is popular is "once a buc always a buc" that phrase means dont forget were you came from dont be sad about it you should be happy to know that there will always be people from were you were from to help you and make it easier to do the things you want. The bears come down from the Ozark mountains during feeding season, they attack in packs of 2 like A Quiet Place in the city and trap people in their cars. As long as you wait them out and squirt your bear spray they will eventually leave.

# 1 - most local people who grew up in Syracuse have Never been to NYC and Don't care to visit there. # 2 - Syracuse is listed as the snowist city in the country, hence the bad roads. Yes the roads suck but Tons of salt and temp changes are mostly to blame. # 3 - College students are not an issue except on campus. # 4 - Yes ghettos are bad, keep out after dark. But these are due to decades of Liberal Tax and spent state government and corrupt City Mayors. # 5 Crime = Crime. gets worse every year across the country! # 6 - Good jobs and industry driven out by State Taxes and Liberals!

I've lived in Milford for 19 years and it's been a great place to live with miles of empty beaches, quiet neighborhoods, no crime to speak of, and an overall high standard of living, no slummy areas, as opposed to overly developed and congested places like S. Norwalk where I used to live.

Knoxville is near Great Smokey Mountains national park that is beautiful. That is great if you like hiking and wildlife. However, you do need to beware of bears.

Saying that being a college town is a liability for Syracuse is nuts. Being a college town is generally considered an asset for any locale, especially with a college of the quality of SU. Saying that living so far from New York City is a liability is also nuts. Nobody moves to Syracuse so that they can go to New York City. They move there for other reasons. It's like saying Syracuse is a bad place because it's too far from Washington, DC or Boston, or Chicago, etc. It's a shame that Syracuse has lost so much industry though. It used to be thriving when General Electric, Carrier, General Motors, and a number of others were still there. HIgh taxes (which are paid by Upstate New Yorkers but which end up going to pay for New York City) have driven many companies and residents out of Syracuse and other upstate NY cities and communities. Still, it has a lot to offer for those who love the outdoors, boating and other water sports. There is easy access to the Finger Lakes (especially Skaneateles Lake) and the Adirondacks (one of this country's great wilderness and vacation areas) is just an easy few hours drive away. Skaneateles Lake, which has some of the best boating and fishing in the world is only 20-30 mins away. The countryside around Syracuse and Upstate NY is bucolic and beautiful as well. And if you DO want to visit a larger city (and get a totally different experience) but don't want to go to New York City, Syracuse is just a 4 hour drive from Montreal, another international but totally different kind of city and experience. You can also reach many parts of beautiful New England (including Boston and Cape Cod) for about the same amount of time. Sorry, but I can't give this video any likes.
